Application of boron fertilizer on vegetables

Different types of vegetables have different requirements for boron, radish, cabbage, cauliflower, lentils, peppers, lettuce, celery, potatoes, more demand for boron, cucumber, watermelon, spinach, onions, leeks, less demand for boron. When a certain kind of vegetable boron content is insufficient, it shows symptoms, such as radish suffering from "brown heart disease"; celery lack of boron easy to stem broken; tomato, pepper, cucumber, etc. serious drop and fruit drop, and prone to deformed fruit, tomato lack of boron in addition to falling fruit In addition, the stem growth point at the seedling stage is black and dry, resulting in a severe reduction in the later period. The boron fertilizer application techniques are as follows:

1. Base fertilizer. When boron is used as a basal fertilizer, it can be mixed with nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers, or it can be applied alone. When applying boron fertilizer, the distribution in the field should be uniform, with 125-200 grams of pure boron per acre and 750-1250 grams of boric acid. The basal fertilizer is applied to the fertilizer for a long period of time. Generally, it can last for 3-5 years if it is applied once. However, the application amount must not be arbitrarily increased to avoid vegetable damage.

2. Seed fertilizer. Soak the seed into the borax solution with twice the amount of seeds and 0.01%-0.1% of the concentration. Soak the seed for 12-24 hours, remove and wash with water, and then germination sowing seedlings, when the concentration of the seed should not exceed 0.1%.

3. Leaf spray fertilizer. Boron spraying on leaves is one of the most widely used methods in vegetables. The concentration of borax is 0.1%-0.2%, and boric acid is 0.1%. Tomatoes were sprayed once with 0.2% borax solution or 0.1% boric acid solution at the seedling stage and early flowering stage; sweet peppers were sprayed 2-3 times with the 0.2% borax solution or 0.1% boric acid solution at the initial flowering stage and flowering stage. In the morning market, celery spraying with 0.2% borax solution can not only increase production, but also prevent celery from "streaking disease." Cucumber is sprayed with 0.1% borax solution for the first time in the early stage of squashing, and then sprayed once every 10 days. Spray 3 times to prevent falling and fruiting.
