COMPOSITION
Each 5ml contains Bromhexine hydrochloride 4mg.

PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION
Medicines that act on the respiratory system. Antitussives and expectorants.

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION
Bromhexine Syrup has mucolytic and bronchodilatory propertires.

INDICATIONS
Bromhexine Syrup is indicated for cough associated with wheeziness(bronchospasm) and tenacious phlegm(sputum).

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Bromhexine Syrup is contra-indicated in patients with hypersensitivity to known sympathomimetic amines or any of other ingredients; hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, and tachyarrhythmia. Sympathomimetics, such as sulphate of orciprenaline may interact with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and therefore the bromhexine syrup should not be given to patients receiving such treatment or within 14days of termination of the MAOI treatment.
Safety in pregancy and lactation has not been establisted.

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Adults and children over 12 years: 10-20ml three time daily.
Children 3-12years: 5-10ml three times daily.
Children 1-3years: 2.5-5ml three times daily.
Don not exceed recommeded dose.

STORAGE
Store below 25C, in well-closed containers.
Protect from light.
