Prevention of sudden drop in egg production during laying

There are many reasons for the decline in egg production during laying. This article will only describe prevention of sudden drop in egg production caused by some infectious diseases.

It can be said that during the laying period of the chicken, the chicken suffered a drop in egg production from any kind of disease. However, the egg production decline syndrome, infectious bronchitis, Newcastle disease, and contagious inflammation all cause a sudden drop in egg production. The prevention of the following three diseases has been a topic, and will not be described in detail. One introduction:

I. Pathogens and routes of transmission

The pathogen of egg drop syndrome in chickens is caused by chicken adenovirus in bird adenosis, which is a viral disease with decreased egg production as the main symptom. The route of transmission of this disease is not yet very clear, it is speculated that the live ducklings are made of domestic duck cultured cells mixed with EDS-76, and chickens are infected by vaccination. Diseased chickens are infected with healthy chickens. Infected chickens are transmitted to chickens via eggs. However, eggs transmitted by the virus are not able to explain why they have been mass-produced until the laying season.

Second, the symptoms

Occurred around #0 weeks of age, but laying hens may occur at any time, performance symptoms in addition to egg production, there is a slight squatting. Production of brown shell shell color white, rough shell, and even produce soft shell eggs, no preserved eggs, egg production rate suddenly dropped 20% -40%. The whole group of chickens have abnormal egg production for 4-10 weeks. In the naturally occurring diseases, pathological changes can only be found that the quiescence of the ovaries is not developed, tubal atrophy is reported, and uterine edema is also reported.

Third, prevention and treatment

In terms of treatment, there is no successful treatment and prevention of the disease is successful.

1. Management measures are first introduced from non-infected chickens to prevent vertical infections. Secondly, chicken farms must take reasonable sanitation and epidemic prevention measures. The personnel, utensils, transportation, blood collection, vaccine injection, and injection apparatus room should be used to cause horizontal infection.

2. Immunization with inactivated seedlings of EDS-76 oil adjuvant, immunization of 14-16 weeks old flock, 0.5 ml of each subcutaneous injection, and secondary seedlings associated with Newcastle disease. Newcastle disease, infectious bronchial fire, or infectious bursal disease are all very good. Antibodies were detected 7 days after immunization and peaked at 2-5 weeks. Immunity lasts at least one year.
