Recently, the Xishan Quality Supervision Bureau conducted on-site rapid testing of the products of two edible oil production enterprises and the raw materials and fats of 11 meat products and pastry production enterprises in the area under its jurisdiction. The inspectors randomly selected the barreled raw material oil in the raw material warehouse of the meat products enterprise, the solid liquid auxiliary oil of the pastry production enterprise and the homemade lard, and the finished fats and oils of the oil production enterprise totaled 24 batches. The amount of peroxide in the oil and fat can be detected by means of reagent titration in the field, and the conclusion can be quickly reached within one hour. In this special inspection, all the oils used by the company are in line with national standards, and all liquid oils have uniform color and no precipitation. The inspectors also checked the edible oil label and the ticket claim issued by the company. The oil used by the company was regular and no signs of using “ditch oil” were found. According to the relevant person in the food department, the rapid testing equipment joined the team in the first line of inspection in April this year, and can quickly detect more than 20 projects. Once in the rapid detection process, some indicators of the food are found to be different, the sample will be taken immediately for formal inspection. In this way, problem foods can be quickly found in the production field.
