How to breed a rich tree

The name of the rich tree: Robinia pseucdoacacia is an excellent species of ornamental and afforestation, soil conservation and sand fixation. It is a rare source of summer and autumn powder. It is native to Spain and was introduced to North Korea in the 1960s. Jilin Ji Yong’s agronomist Li Yongzhen was introduced to North Korea from the DPRK in the mid-1990s. Since the introduction of pilot plants abroad, it has seen rapid development.

First, the biological characteristics of the rich tree

The wealthy tree lined butterfly flower leguminous tree, 10 to 12 meters tall, trunk upright and straight, branches long sparse, bark gray brown to brown. Leaves alternate, 17 to 19 pinnate, elliptic to ovoid, smooth foliage, bright green, larger than the Locust leaves. From May to August, flowering occurs in southern China in spring, summer and autumn. The racemes grow into a pendulous shape, 8 to 12 cm long and nearly 10 cm. The beekeepers in our country summed up that “big flowers, large quantities of flowers, beautiful flowers, long flowering periods, aromas, and rich powder make it a good bee source for apiculture.”

The rich tree enjoys a good environment with ample sunshine and air circulation, and it can tolerate freezing temperatures of minus 25°C to 28°C. In China, except for Heilongjiang Province, from the coastal plain to the mountain at an altitude of 2100 meters, regardless of neutral soil, acid soil or light alkali. Sexual soil can grow well. From its adaptability, susceptibility to growth (both roots and shoots can be propagated), fast-growing (up to 2 meters in seedlings of the year), regenerative (multiple seedlings can be produced in the first year of burying and planting), and The economic and ecological values of high quality powder source, ornamental, greening, sand fixation, and soil conservation determine its broad development prospects.

Second, the rich tree breeding techniques

The rich trees have good flowers but do not bear fruit. No seeds are available for breeding. They can only rely on buried roots, cuttings or grafts for asexual reproduction.

1. Buried root breeding. This is the most important breeding method. The survival rate is 85% to 90%.

1 Preparation: The rich trees can be introduced into the roots after defoliation. Before planting, they should be buried in sandy soil and have a good grasp of the humidity of the sand. The roots should not be dehydrated and dry, nor should the humidity be too high and the mold should be rotted.

2 Site preparation: Seedlings are best in sandy loam with deep soil, flat terrain, convenient irrigation and drainage, and no pests. Apply 2,500 kilograms of livestock manure per 667 square meters, or apply 50 kilograms of phosphate fertilizer and diammonium as a base fertilizer; use carbofuran and other insecticides to kill underground pests. The land should be deep-turned, fine-grained, and smooth, and the width should be about 1 meter.

3 nursery: nursery time in the south in mid-March, north in late March to early April. Select a 1-2 year old smooth root segment with a diameter of 5 to 10 mm free of pests and cut into 5 to 7 cm long spare. After the ditch is opened, the ditch is 50 centimeters long and the depth is 5 centimeters. Then the root segment is laid horizontally in the ditch with a spacing of 30 centimeters. Cover the fine sandy soil, pour the rooting water, cover the mulch, and the seedlings will emerge in about one month.

4 Seedling Management: Water shall be removed from the film immediately after emergence. In case of continuous rain, attention should be paid to drainage. During the seedling period, weeding should be done in time to eliminate lateral buds, loose loose topsoil, and not to injure tender and short roots. Prevent pests and diseases in a timely manner, appropriate amount of fertilizer, long drought is to clear the manure water drought and top dressing, and promote seedling growth and robust.

5 Transplanting and management: The rich tree seedlings were transplanted and planted before budding at the end of the fall or in the spring of the following year. According to the plan, acupuncture points, basal fertilization, soil compaction after planting, and watering through the rooting water, the survival rate is generally more than 95%. After the fall, the height of the tree can reach 2 to 3 meters and the diameter at breast height 3 to 5 centimeters. In the second year of flowering, the flowers are bright, the aroma is assailant, and the tree shape opens. The gesture is beautiful and very cute.

2. Branch cuttings. 1 Cutting time is the same as that of buried seedlings, but it may be earlier.

2 Select a hardwood branch with a diameter of 8-20 mm, cut into 15 cm long cuttings, cut the upper incision, 1-2 cm from the bud, cut the lower incision into a 45-degree oblique mouth, 5 mm from the bud. Separate the upper and lower ends with 50 pieces of a bundle, and soak the lower end with 50 mg/kg rooting powder for 3 to 4 hours and remove them for later use.

3 Soil preparation requirements As before, insert the branches at an inclination of 45 degrees into the soil at a spacing of 20 centimeters and 40 centimeters, and cover the mulch.

4 Seedling Management: Immediately after emergence, seedlings, seedlings, and soil shall be closed to maintain the temperature and humidity of the bed soil. Before the high temperature, the plastic film shall be removed, the lateral buds shall be wiped off, and the fertilizer and water management shall be strengthened. Cutting seedlings can grow to more than 2 meters in the year.

The wealthy trees are easy to manage in the later period, and the production cost is very low. It is suitable for large-scale construction of apiculture, ornamental landscaping, windbreak-fixing, and soil and water conservation.
