The quality of foreign trade products is increasing year by year, paying attention to the quality of drug exports

A few days ago, the reporter learned from the China Chamber of Commerce for Medicines and Health Products that this year is the “year of foreign trade product quality improvement” of the Ministry of Commerce. The Ministry of Commerce is very concerned about the quality of the export of pharmaceutical products. Starting from the beginning of April, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce for the Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products opened a special “medical foreign trade product quality improvement service platform” on its official website, and participated in the selection of the “national professional model base for foreign trade transformation and upgrading”. At present, the application for the selection of demonstration bases has completed its application and entered the expert review stage.

In March of this year, the 8 departments including the Ministry of Commerce jointly organized a video conference on the “Year of Enhancing Quality of Foreign Trade Products”. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture, the General Administration of Customs, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the State Council Information Office, and the State Food and Drug Administration have jointly supported this work. Light industry arts and crafts, textiles, Minmetals chemicals, food and animal husbandry, electrical and mechanical, pharmaceutical and health care products. The import and export chambers of the six industries have sent 40,000 member companies an initiative to improve quality.

It is understood that improving the quality of foreign trade products will run through the "12th Five-Year Plan" period. The main tasks of this year's quality improvement activities include establishing and improving the service platform for improving the quality of exported goods, continuing to compile and handbook the quality and safety of key export commodities, and conducting training on foreign trade knowledge for township enterprises and agricultural product processing industries. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will complete the formulation and revision of 3,000 industrial standards, piloting independent brand construction in such industries as apparel home textiles and household appliances.
