Improve the quality of barcode labeling machine

As early as the 1970s, developed countries such as Europe and the United States began to apply barcodes to manage products. Barcode technology is an automatic identification technology widely used in computer applications and practice, which is widely used in business, postal, book management, warehousing, industrial production process control, transportation, etc., and represents important information of commodities. It has the advantages of fast input speed, high accuracy, low cost and high reliability, and it plays an important role in today's automatic identification technology. Nowadays, there are many types of barcodes applied, and the types of barcodes applied by various manufacturers on their own products or products are also different. Currently, there are several types of barcodes that are widely used: UPC code, EAN code, 39 yards, Kudba. Code, 128 code, 93 code, 49 code, etc.

Barcode technology is the use of barcodes on labels to represent important information about a product. It is a cumbersome task to print and paste a barcode on a product or product. The traditional labeling is manually manual labeling. The barcode label printed by the printer is first peeled off and then attached to the product. Not only the labor intensity of the workers is large, but the order of labeling is difficult to match one by one; and it is not easy to manage, the error is high, and the secondary pollution of the barcode label is caused. With the development of automation technology and the improvement of product management level in the manufacturing industry, more and more manufacturers tend to use a high-speed automatic labeling machine, which not only improves the labeling quality, but also greatly improves the labeling speed. Reduce labor costs.

The barcode labeling machine is actually a combined mechanical device. The main working mechanism is that it can directly print out the required barcode on the label on the conveyor belt. The printing device or the printing mechanism is integrated with the labeling unit, the cylindrical label paper is fed through the printing mechanism, and then removed on the conveyor belt, and then the printed label is fed into the cylindrical label paper, and then the conveyor belt is removed. , Zui finally printed the barcode label completely on the product or package.

Currently, there are two main types of bar code printing technology:

(1) Thermal Transfer Printing Thermal transfer printing uses an ink transfer ribbon which is substantially immersed in a wax liquid or a resin and which adheres the ink to the inner liner of the ribbon film. When the ribbon and label paper pass through the lower portion of the thermal print head, the wax or resin is melted into a liquid state, and then the ink is transferred to the surface of the label sheet. The main advantages of thermal transfer printing include durability, excellent print quality and contrast, and color printing capabilities. Now, there are a wide variety of label paper materials and ribbon models for printing presses. Coordinate with each other and thereby obtain unbreakable printed information and its graphics. The disadvantage of the thermal transfer printing method is that the cost is higher because the cost of the pressure sensitive label and the transfer ribbon are calculated together to the single piece cost of the final product.

(2) Direct thermal printing Direct thermal printing does not require a color ribbon, and only thermal paper is required as the label printing material. The label paper is mainly converted into dark black after reacting with the heat of the thermal printing head. This technique produces a pattern that is very similar to the thermal transfer printing method. However, there is no similar level of color density and contrast. Therefore, the total print quality of direct hot stamping is not as good as the thermal transfer printing method. In addition, because the label paper reacts to heat, the paper is affected by high ambient temperatures, strong sunlight and strong ultraviolet rays. Thus, direct thermal printing is generally not used if it is considered that the life of the label is more than a few early or even longer, or the label may be continuously exposed to sunlight and high heat. However, since the cost of using the transfer ribbon is avoided, the cost of the direct thermal printing method is generally lower than that of the transfer ribbon and the flat label in the thermal transfer printing method, and there is no ribbon meaning. The operator only needs to deal with one type of media material, which theoretically reduces the mechanical maintenance workload and reduces the downtime of the production.

Today, most printing-labeling machines use a thermal transfer printer, or they can be printed directly on a heat activated label cylinder. Most models of this type of equipment enable the printing mechanism to achieve the number of printed dots per unit length, resulting in high-resolution letters, numbers and graphics and identification symbols. The printing dots produced by the printing mechanism on the printing-labeling machine actually appear to be in shape, and the lines in the enlarged case provide particularly good definition when printing or checking the barcode.

With the improvement of automation level, especially the development of servo motor and stepper motor control technology and the emergence of MRPII and ERP production management systems, the labeling machine is facing the following development directions:

(1) The drive of workpiece or product transfer is changed to stepper motor or servo motor to drive ball screw, instead of traditionally driving the workpiece with cylinder, which greatly improves the positioning control precision of the labeling machine in the process of conveying the workpiece. Improved labeling quality.

(2) The degree of automation is constantly improving. In the past, manual and semi-manual complex operations have been replaced by semi-automatic or automatic labeling machines, and gradually developed in the direction of intelligent control.

(3) Advanced electromechanical technology and new components are integrated into the labeling machine, and the design quality is improved and the manufacturing cycle is shortened by adopting advanced design methods.

As an important part of the packaging production line, the labeling machine directly affects the quality of the packaging. Therefore, efforts should be made to improve the quality of labeling. Comprehensive consideration should be given to the design, manufacture, assembly and commissioning according to the labeling requirements, and the sticker should be satisfied at a lower cost. The functional requirements of the standard machine.
