Chicken feed mixing method

Mechanical mixing uses mixers for mixing. Commonly used mixers are vertical and horizontal. Vertical mixers are suitable for mixing powdery feeds with a moisture content of less than 14%. Too much water content makes it difficult to mix evenly. Horizontal mixers can evenly mix feeds in areas where the climate is relatively humid or where strong viscous components (such as grease) are added to the feed. No matter which type of mixer is used, the amount of charge should be 60% to 80% of the capacity for uniform stirring.

Hand-mixing is the main method of feed mixing at home. When mixing, we must be careful and patience to prevent some trace raw materials from hitting heaps and agglomerating, which will affect the feeding effect.

Some trace raw materials, which have a small proportion in the diet but can seriously affect the rearing effect, such as salt and various additives, may affect the rearing effect if they are mixed unevenly and cause disease, poisoning, and even death. For such traces of raw materials, they must first be fully crushed during mixing, and there should be no agglomeration. Secondly, due to the small amount of these raw materials, they cannot be directly added to bulk feeds for mixing. Instead, they should be premixed. Practice: Take 10% to 20% of concentrated feed (preferably a large proportion of energy feed, such as corn, wheat bran, etc.) as a carrier, and pile it up, and press the next feed on the previous feed. Feed to the top of the feed, so that the feed flow around the center point into a conical shape, so that all kinds of feed can have a mixed opportunity. Repeatedly 3 to 4 times to achieve the purpose of mixing evenly, the premix is made. Finally, this premix is added to all the feeds, mixed for 3 to 4 times in the same way, which can achieve the purpose of mixing.
