The qualified rate of sampling of meat products in individual delicatessen restaurants in Guangzhou is zero

Guangzhou Industry and Commerce announced the sampling inspection of cooked meat products in circulation during the first quarter of 2012. The reporter learned from the Guangzhou Municipal Administration of Industry and Commerce yesterday (19th) that in the first quarter of this year, the bureau commissioned inspection agencies to sell ducks and roast ducks sold in Guangzhou circulation. Goose, pork, pork ribs and other cooked meat products were sampled. A total of 50 batches of samples were sampled, 26 batches were rejected, and the batch pass rate was 48.0%.

Supermarket pass rate is higher than deli

A total of 50 batches of samples were taken from this sampling inspection, involving 9 supermarkets, delicatessens, and roast shops, and 12 production units.

The qualified rate of cooked meat products in supermarkets is higher than that of cooked food shops (including roasting shops). Among them, 2 supermarkets in Panyu District sampled 18 batches and passed 16 batches with a pass rate of 88.9%; 1 supermarket in Baiyun District, with 6 batches of samples, 4 batches of qualified, with a pass rate of 66.7%; 2 in Liwan District Deli / roast goose shop, sampling 10 batches, qualified 3 batches, pass rate of 30.0%; Huadu District 2 deli / roast shop, sampling 6 batches, qualified 1 batch, pass rate of 16.7% Yuexiu District 2 deli, sampling 10 batches, qualified 0 batches, pass rate of 0%.

Microorganisms, artificial pigments exceeded

The unsatisfactory sampling of the foods were all on-site production of bulk cooked meat products. The unqualified items were: microorganisms (total number of colonies, coliform bacteria) items, synthetic pigments (lemon yellow, sunset yellow).

Among the 26 batches of unqualified cooked meat products, there were 18 batches of sample microorganisms (the total number of colonies and coliform bacteria) exceeding the standard, of which, 2 batches exceeded the total number of colonies, and 16 batches exceeded the standard for coliform bacteria. Because the cooked meat products extracted this time are ready-to-eat foods with high moisture content and high protein content, and microorganisms are easy to breed, the reasons for the unqualified total number of colonies and coliform bacteria may be due to simple production equipment and manual operations; Insufficient attention is paid to the production environment and personal hygiene; disinfection of the entire production process, including packaging materials, is not thorough; the protection of the product is not good, the place of production is the central kitchen, there is no gap, raw meat cooked meat is the same clean area, and microbiology is easy. Cross-contamination and cooked meat products are exposed for a long time.

Try to buy freshly baked meat products

At present, the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Commerce has adopted measures such as removing shelves, sealing up, initiating investigations and other measures against unqualified foods, and preventing unqualified foods from entering the market. The industrial and commercial department reminds consumers that when choosing cooked meat products, enterprises should try their best to choose companies that meet hygienic conditions and try to buy freshly baked products, carry them as cold as possible and store them as quickly as possible.

Stevia

Stevia sweeteners are derived from the leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana (Bertoni) plant, an herbal shrub native to South America. The stevia plant has been used for food and medicinal purposes for hundreds of years, and its leaves and crude extracts have been sold as dietary supplements. Purified extracts of the sweet substances found in the stevia leaf, called steviol glycosides, are considered to be generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). However, whole stevia leaves and crude leaf extracts are not permitted to be sold as sweeteners in the U.S. because there is not enough toxicological information on these products, according to the FDA. Stevia sweeteners are made by extracting steviol glycosides from the leaves of the stevia plant and purifying them to remove some of the bitter attributes found in the crude extract.
