Degradable liquid film

The liquid film is also known as the soil surface film. It is a high-tech product jointly developed by the Institute of Soil and Fertilizers of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical Company after years of research. According to experts, liquid mulch is a kind of emulsion obtained by adding special additives to asphalt that we can see everywhere. It has a strong adhesive effect and can bind soil particles together to form ideal agglomerates. A mechanism of action is the same as that of humus, which signifies soil fertility, in the formation of agglomerates. It can improve the structure of soil aggregates in a relatively short period of time, so that the permeability of the soil is greatly enhanced, and the structure of sand or overly viscous soils. The improvement is particularly noticeable.

Experiments show that the aqueous solution of the liquid film is sprayed on the surface with a pressure sprayer and dried to form a multi-layer chemical protective film, which can not only consolidate the topsoil, but also inhibit the evaporation of soil moisture, making the soil in a longer time. Maintaining a relatively moist state, the soil surface water content can be increased by more than 20% to achieve the effect of conservation. Suppression of soil moisture evaporation largely inhibits the loss of heat from the soil, which in turn increases the temperature of the soil. In particular, the liquid film is black or brown-black, which increases the absorption rate of solar radiation, thus increasing the soil. The effect of temperature is even more pronounced. It can be said that spraying the liquid film is equivalent to covering the soil with a layer of “thin coat”, which increases the average soil temperature by 2°C to 4°C. At the same time, because the liquid film has the characteristics of fixing the topsoil, the stability of the soil has been increased. Therefore, the use of liquid mulch can effectively protect the soil, reduce soil erosion, and prevent soil desertification.

Compared with plastic mulch, liquid mulch has the following features: easy to use, save time and labor. When the liquid film is used, it is only necessary to dilute the original solution 4 to 5 times, and spray it evenly on the surface with an agricultural sprayer. One person can complete the entire operation process.

No artificial membrane breaks are required. After the liquid film is formed into a film, the plant seedlings can directly rupture the film, and it is not necessary to artificially break the film like a plastic film, which saves a lot of work.

Natural degradation can also improve the soil. The liquid mulch can be naturally degraded after the water retention, warming, moisture preservation, and seedling preservation are completed. After entering the soil, the soil mulch can also function as a soil conditioner and continue to exert its effect of improving the soil.

Wide range of applications. In addition to conventional applications, liquid film can also be used in areas where plastic mulches, such as slopes, tuyere, and irregular blocks, cannot be used.

In addition, a large number of tests have also shown that after spraying liquid mulch on the soil, the yield of crops can be significantly increased. In particular, crops harvesting underground fruits, such as peanuts, potatoes, sweet potatoes, etc., can increase production by about 20% on average. After Application of liquid mulch in winter wheat, the winter wheat showed strong seedlings before winter, developed root system, and low dead seedling rate after wintering. Both greening and heading were earlier than those of the control, and the number of returning green tillers and the number of ears per mu were also significantly increased.
