Name of the breed: Yubao Validation No.: Yushen Watermelon 2009010 Breeding Unit: Institute of Horticulture, Henan Academy of Agricultural Sciences Variety source: DY-3DQ-21 Characteristics: Medium and late maturing varieties, 105 days of total growth period, 32 days of fruit development, 7th section of first female flowering section, 7th section of female flowers; robust growth of plants, easy to set fruit; elliptic fruit, fruit type index 1.35; fruit green skin, smooth fruit surface, skin 1.2cm thick, crisp skin, more resistant to storage and transportation, the average weight of 5.7kg melon; pulp red, crisp and juicy; seed brown brown, 1000-grain weight 53g. Identification of resistance: In 2007, the biotechnology center of Zhengzhou Fruit Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences identified the inoculation of the soil at the seedling stage: flu virus disease (grade 3.56); identified soil in the greenhouse in the seedling stage: sensation of wilt disease (plant strain rate of 98.2% ).
