The right way for cashmere goats to feed urea

Cashmere goat breeds can use the microorganisms in the rumen to use urea as a raw material to synthesize the special functions of bacterial proteins needed by themselves. Therefore, proper scientific addition of urea in cashmere goat feed can save the amount of protein feed and reduce production costs. However, if the feeding method is improper, it will cause the sheep to become poisoned or die, causing unnecessary economic losses. The author conducted a detailed survey of the situation of feeding urea in cashmere goats from all over Liaoning Province and summarized and analyzed them. The correct method for feeding urea to cashmere goats is briefly described as follows:

First, the urea in a certain proportion evenly mixed in the feed for feeding because cashmere goats are more sensitive to urea than other varieties of cattle and sheep varieties, therefore, before feeding urea, should be a small group test feeding trials, After 10-15 days observation of no adverse reactions, large groups were fed again. In general, the total amount of urea fed by each cashmere goat should not exceed 0.15% of its feed intake. Feeding urea should follow the principle of increasing as little as possible and gradually increasing, and the rate of feeding should not suddenly be significantly increased.

Second, the urea melted, evenly sprayed on the roughage, and then chopped raw feed and then fed with warm water-soluble urea before, we should first calculate the amount of roughage to be processed, designed to spray urea after the sweat rate increased roughage To a certain degree, the urea dissolved is then sprayed with a certain amount of water. It is not appropriate to use too much water to dissolve urea. For example, if urea is added to 100 kg of roughage in a ratio of 0.15%, the total amount of urea is 150 g. If the moisture content of the feed after spraying is allowed to increase by 3%, 150 g of urea need to be dissolved with 3 L of water. In order to achieve a uniform spray effect, the dissolved urea solution is placed in a plastic watering can and sprayed while feeding.

Third, the urea made of bricks for sheep to feed specific methods are: the bran, salt, various minerals and vitamins are evenly mixed with urea, pressed into a round brick for sheep to feed. In this way, cashmere goats are supplemented with inorganic nitrogen. Since the feed intake of sheep is limited, they do not cause excessive feeding and therefore do not cause poisoning. Under normal circumstances, the urea content is about 10%, the salt content is about 1.5%-6%, and the bran content is about 20%-40%. The sheep only ingests inorganic nitrogen and other nutrient elements when they eat the salt bricks.
