Three diseases prevention and cure of vegetable seedlings

In the past, in the course of growing vegetables, it often occurred that the seedlings suddenly fell down or rotted. In some years, several batches of seedlings were not continuously cultivated, which often delayed the transplanting and also affected the income. Today we mainly talk about the three diseases that affect the growth of vegetable seedlings: damping-off, blight and root rot.

The vegetables mentioned here include solanaceous fruits, melons, celery, cabbage, and cabbage. In the process of vegetable growth, seed germination and seedling emergence are relatively fragile. In addition to being more sensitive to temperature and moisture, the disease resistance is weak and susceptible to a variety of pathogens, including some of the weak parasites.

Weak parasites are those microorganisms that often live in the soil, mainly eating dead foods. Only when the seedlings are weak and grow slowly can they be infested. In turn, if the scientific management of seedlings, the cultivation of strong, and let them grow seedlings as soon as possible, it can reduce the occurrence of such diseases.

Let us simply compare the symptoms of three diseases: damping-off, blight and root rot. Blight disease and blight frequently occur at the base of the stem near the ground. As the name suggests, "falling" is a downfall. From the onset to the down seedling, it only takes about 1 day. Standing still, it took more time than it had been. The seedlings were already large, and the process of death was wilting during the day. It recovered at night until it died but still stood upright. Looking at the color of the lesions, the tripping is lighter, the water is immersed in the beginning, and the blight produces brown lesions; both the diseased seedlings and the nearby soil can grow white hyphae. Cotton batting and blight are sparse, but later may be assembled into small sclerotia. Root rot primarily harms radicles and young roots and sometimes spreads to the base of the stem, causing decay; the upper part of the diseased seedlings first wilts, then turns yellow and then dies; cutting the base of the stem reveals browning of the vascular bundle.

In terms of prevention and control, in addition to strengthening seedling management and nurturing strong seedlings, the following measures can be taken:

Soil treatment requires the bed soil to be treated with medicaments on the basis of the choice of loose and fertile bed soil that has not been grown for many years and the application of decomposed organic fertilizer. Can be used per square meter with 25% metalaxyl (Drymus mold, Lei Duomier) wettable powder 5 grams plus 50% carbendazim WP 5 grams, mixed with the appropriate amount of fine fluvo-aquic soil. 2/3 can be laid on the bed and the remaining 1/3 can be covered after sowing. Or use 1 mg of oxamylase (Stachypyrrhea, Soil Bacteria, Green Hunter No.1) per square meter, in addition to the application according to the above method, it can also be 3,000 times diluted and evenly sprayed on the seedbed.

Seed treatment per 1 kg seeds with green hen 1 1 to 1.5 grams or green hen 2 3 to 4 grams seed dressing.

At the seedling stage, early spraying of 25% metalaxyl wettable powder 800 times, or 58% metalaxyl MnZn wettable powder 500 times, or 72.2% Precise (ferrobarbital) 600~ 800 times liquid, continuous prevention and control 2 to 3 times in 10 days. In addition, at the beginning of the disease, it is possible to irrigate the roots with 3000 to 4000 times the amount of Greenhenge No.1.
