Rotary cultivator fault diagnosis method

1. Overloading of the rotary cultivator may occur due to deep plowing, heavy soil, or excessively hard ground conditions. To resolve this issue, it's recommended to reduce the depth of plowing and adjust the forward speed as well as the coulter speed accordingly. This will help prevent excessive strain on the machine and improve overall performance.

2. When the rotavator jumps during operation, it is often caused by hard soil or incorrect blade installation. To address this problem, you should slow down the unit’s forward speed and the coulter speed. Additionally, ensure that the blades are properly installed to maintain smooth and stable operation.

3. If the rotary cultivator intermittently throws large clods, it could be due to bent, broken, missing, or heavily worn blades. In such cases, it's important to inspect the blades and either straighten them or replace them if necessary. Regular maintenance can help avoid this issue and ensure even soil cultivation.

4. Uneven soil after tilling may result from an improper match between the unit's forward speed and the spindle speed. To fix this, make sure to adjust both speeds appropriately so that they work in harmony. This will lead to a smoother and more uniform finish on the field.

5. Unusual noise coming from the coulter gearbox might be caused by foreign objects getting lodged during installation or damage to the gears and bearings. To resolve this, try removing any foreign material. If the damage is significant, consider replacing the affected bearings or gears to restore normal function.

6. Metal knocking sounds while operating the rotary cultivator can be caused by a loose drive chain colliding with the transmission housing, or by deformed parts like the blade, left arm, or transmission case hitting each other. It can also happen if the blade fixing screws become loose. To fix this, check and adjust the drive chain tension, correct or replace any severely deformed components, and tighten all loose screws.

7. If the coulter shaft of the rotary cultivator stops moving, it may be due to a locked gear or bearing, deformation of the left arm or coulter shaft, or a broken drive chain. Another possible cause is the coulter shaft becoming wrapped in mud. To resolve this, repair or replace damaged parts, remove any accumulated mud, and ensure proper alignment and functionality of the system.
